Layers and arranging

The Layers panel

Open Layers to see every item on the page, top item first. Click one to select it, even if it's hidden behind something.

For each item you can:

• Hide it with the eye. It stays in the design but isn't drawn or downloaded. Select it from the list to show it again.
• Lock it with the padlock, so a click on the page goes through to what's underneath. Useful for a background you don't want to nudge.
• Drag it up or down in the list to change what's in front.

Select what's underneath

If something is covered, Alt+click (or press and hold on a phone) the spot. Each click selects the next item down. Tab moves between items on the page.

In front and behind

Select an item and use Bring to front, Bring forward, Send backward or Send to back in the bar.

Group things

Select several items and choose Group to move and resize them as one. Ungroup takes them apart again.

Duplicate and delete

Duplicate makes a copy right on the page. Delete (or the Delete key) removes the selected item.
