Add-ons

Monthly extras for features that need live data, like an online store, and what's already included in your plan.

Your plan already covers what most small businesses need. Add-ons are for the few features that run on our servers all the time, like taking payments. Each is a small monthly charge for one site, and you can turn it off any time.

What's included without an add-on

Every site gets these in the base plan, at no extra cost:

  • Forms with an Inbox, photo uploads and email alerts
  • Events, news and job openings, each with its own page
  • Hours with holidays, seasons and a "closed today" banner
  • A Spanish version of your whole site (see Show your site in Spanish)
  • Products with prices, shown on your site (without a cart)
  • Visitor stats, and AI help writing your text

The add-ons

The Business plan includes bookings, the chat, newsletters, review requests, payment requests, signed forms, gift cards and to-dos, $28 a month bought one by one, so it pays off once you want about five on the yearly plan, or six month to month. See The Business plan.

You can also take bookings with your own Calendly, Square or Acuity account, without an add-on. See Connect a booking calendar.

Turn on an add-on

You can start a new site with add-ons: tick them under Business and add-ons on Launch your site. See Launch your site. After launch:

Only the account owner can turn add-ons on or off, and your site must be live with your plan running. Each page shows an On or Off label.

  1. Sign in to your dashboard.
  2. In your dashboard, open Sites and click Online store, Bookings or Ask us chat on the Website card. For the others, click Plan, where each add-on has Turn on and Turn off.
  3. Click Turn on the online store, Turn on bookings or Turn on the chat.
  4. For the store, click Open the Store screen and connect Stripe. See Connect Stripe. For bookings, see Take bookings on your site. For the chat, turn it on in your editor's Ask us chat screen and publish. See Ask us chat.

On the monthly plan, the add-on is added to your monthly bill from today, and your next bill includes the part of this month that's left. On the yearly plan, it's charged monthly to the same card, starting today.

Turn an add-on off

  1. In your dashboard, click Online store, Bookings or Ask us chat on the site's card.
  2. Click Turn off the online store, Turn off bookings or Turn off the chat, then Yes, turn it off.
  • Online store: your site stops taking orders right away. Your products stay on your site with their prices, and your past orders stay in your editor.
  • Bookings: your booking forms go back to sending you requests, like a contact form. Bookings already made stay in your editor, but customers don't get reminders.
  • Ask us chat: the chat button stops answering and takes visitors' questions for you instead, like a contact form. Turn the chat off in your editor to hide the button.

If you cancel your plan, its add-ons end with it.

Try it on the live demo first; nothing you do there is saved. If you’d rather have a person do it, ask for a work request from your dashboard. You’ll get a quote before any work starts.
