Plans, billing and credits
Launch your site, add another site to your plan or cancel one, choose yearly or monthly, buy credits, change your card, and cancel.
You pay for SiteBrite in two ways: a plan that keeps your website running, and prepaid credits for the extra work you ask for. Payments go through Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
Launch your site
Your plan starts when you launch your site, not when you sign up.
- When your free preview is ready, we email you a link. Open it and sign in with the same email address.
- On Launch your site, compare Month to month and Yearly (marked Save $48 a year). For a converted site, each shows what you pay Today.
- Click Choose month to month or Choose yearly, and pay on the secure Stripe page.
- You come back to your dashboard. We set up your site and email you when it’s live, with the steps to connect your domain.
If we converted your current website and you choose the yearly plan, launching is free. On the monthly plan, a one-time $49 conversion fee is part of the same payment. It covers up to 25 pages; a bigger site can have the rest written first, for a one-time price shown on the launch page that comes off the fee. Guided setup (for businesses with no website yet) never has a conversion fee.
If you'd rather host a converted site yourself, you can skip the plan and buy its files for a one-time $149 instead of launching. It isn't charged to anyone who launches: with a site on a plan, downloading it is free. See Download a converted site without launching.
To start the site with Business or add-ons, tick them under Business and add-ons before you choose. If you set up your site with guided setup, the add-ons you picked are already ticked, with Business if it costs less than those add-ons on their own. The prices on the cards include them. Add-ons are billed every month on either plan: on the yearly plan, the first month's add-ons are charged to the same card right after checkout, then monthly. See The Business plan and Add-ons.
Launch another site
One plan covers every site on your account. Each site adds the plan’s price: $12 a month on the monthly plan, or $96 a year on the yearly plan.
- In your dashboard, open Sites and look under Add another site. (With several businesses, Overview has Add another business.) Click Convert my website or Start from scratch, and keep the email address you sign in with. When the free preview is ready, we email you, and Sites shows it with a Launch it button.
- Launch your site shows what you pay today: the new site from today until your plan renews, plus the one-time $49 conversion fee if you’re on the monthly plan and we converted a website. Under Business and add-ons, tick what the new site should start with. Business is charged when the site is added, for the rest of your plan’s month or year. Add-ons are billed monthly from today.
- Click Pay … and launch (the button shows the amount, or says Launch this site when there’s nothing to pay). We charge the card your plan uses, so there’s no Stripe page this time.
- We set up the new site and email you when it’s live. From your next renewal, your plan’s price covers all your sites. Billing shows the total.
If your last payment didn’t go through, or your plan is set to end, the page says so. Fix that under Billing › Manage billing first.
To stop paying for one site and keep the others, see Cancel one site.
Monthly or yearly
- Month to month is $12 a month for each site. There’s no contract: cancel any time.
- Yearly is $96 a year for each site, which works out to $8 a month and saves $48. Launching a converted site on the yearly plan is free.
Both include the same features. See pricing for everything that’s in the plan.
Change your card, plan or billing details
- In your dashboard, open Billing.
- Click Manage billing. A secure Stripe page opens.
- There you can:
- change or add a card under Payment methods
- switch between monthly and yearly with Update subscription
- change the name, email and address on your invoices with Update information
- download past invoices under Invoice history
- When you’re done, click the back link at the top left to return to your dashboard.
When you switch plans, Stripe charges or credits you the difference for the rest of your current period.
Only the account’s owners can change billing, add credits, launch a site, turn add-ons on or off, download a site or cancel one. Developers and editors see the plan but can’t change it. See Your team and who has access.
Cancel one site
When you have more than one site, you can stop paying for one and keep the others.
- In your dashboard, open Sites, then Plan and add-ons.
- At the bottom, click Cancel this site. The page shows the date it goes offline and what your plan costs after that.
- Click Cancel this site.
The site stays live until your plan renews, because it’s paid for until then. Nothing is refunded. On that date it goes offline: its address and domain stop working, and so do its editor, forms and online store. From then on, your plan charges for your other sites only. We keep a copy of the site for a year in case you want it back.
Changed your mind? Before that date, click Keep this site on the site's card in Sites (or at the bottom of Plan and add-ons), then Keep this site again. Nothing is charged today, and your plan pays for it again from its next renewal.
If it’s the only site on your plan, canceling it cancels your plan: Cancel my plan opens the same Stripe page as below.
Cancel your plan
- Open Billing, then Manage billing.
- Click Cancel subscription, then Cancel subscription again to confirm. You can tell us why you’re leaving, or skip that.
Canceling ends the plan for every site on your account. Your sites stay live until the end of the period you’ve paid for: the end of the month on a monthly plan, or the end of the year on a yearly plan. Then they go offline. Billing shows the date. Changed your mind before then? Open Manage billing again and click Don’t cancel subscription.
If a payment fails
If we can’t charge your card for a renewal, we email you, and Billing shows We couldn’t charge your card on … with a Payment due label. Your site stays live while Stripe tries the card again over the next few days. Open Manage billing and update your card to fix it.
If your plan has ended, Billing says Your plan ended on … and shows the plans again. Click Choose month to month or Choose yearly to start a new one. To find an old invoice, click See past invoices.
Credits
Credits pay for AI changes and work requests, for AI pictures after your 5 free ones each month, and for code AI writes in an Embed code section ($0.25 a write). Changes you make yourself in the editor are always free, so you only need credits when you ask for one of those.
- In your dashboard, open Credits.
- Under Add credits, click Add $10, Add $20, Add $50 or Add $100.
- Pay on the secure Stripe page. You come back to Credits, and the new balance shows at once.
Every top-up and every charge is listed under Activity on the same page. You always see the price of an AI change or a work request before you approve it.
Credits don’t expire while you have an account. If you close your account, the credits you bought and haven’t used are refunded when you ask within 30 days: email help@sitebrite.app. See our terms.
Still stuck?
Try it on the live demo first; nothing you do there is saved. If you’d rather have a person do it, ask for a work request from your dashboard. You’ll get a quote before any work starts.
